The workshop brings together a small, multi-disciplinary group of scholars to discuss and present new research on colonial rule and its legacies. The aim is to foster discussion among historians, political scientists, and sociologists working on a variety of topics, such as European colonial policies and ideologies, ethnicity and nationalism, and conquest and conflict in the colonial and post-colonial period.
